Our Program

Grow. Lead. Thrive.

Adulthood asks a lot of young people. Espyre helps foster youth face it with more than information—with practical skills they have practiced, confidence they have built, and caring people in their corner.

Throughout the hands-on 10-week program, participants learn by doing, strengthen the skills needed for everyday independence, explore education and career pathways, and build meaningful relationships that continue beyond the final session.

The 10 weeks are a beginning—not an ending. Through continued guidance, encouragement, and connection, Espyre remains committed to supporting participants as they move forward into adulthood.

Who We Serve

Young people participating in a group learning activity.

Espyre’s primary focus is foster youth ages 15–24 who are preparing for or navigating the transition to adulthood. This includes young people currently in foster care, participating in extended foster care or supervised independent living, and those who have recently aged out.

Espyre will be based in Rockwall, Texas, with initial outreach and partnerships focused in Rockwall County, Dallas County, and East Texas. Participation will not be restricted by county; foster youth from any county may participate when they meet the program’s eligibility requirements and have transportation to and from the program.

As capacity, partnerships, and resources grow, Espyre’s long-term vision is to expand throughout Texas, across the United States, and eventually into communities worldwide.

What Makes Espyre Different

Espyre was born from lived experience in foster care and a deeply personal understanding of what it means to enter adulthood without all the guidance, preparation, and support a young person deserves.

That understanding is at the heart of the 10-week program. Participants do more than listen to lessons or receive information. They prepare meals, practice everyday skills, work through real-life decisions, ask questions, and learn about benefits and opportunities created specifically for current and former foster youth.

Espyre brings independent-living skills, cooking and nutrition, financial knowledge, education planning, career preparation, and personal growth together in one meaningful experience. Each young person is encouraged to recognize their strengths, discover what matters to them, and begin building a future that reflects their own goals and dreams.

When opportunities and resources are available, that relationship may continue beyond the program through college preparation, trade-school guidance, career direction, and mentorship. As Espyre’s alumni community grows, former participants may also have opportunities to remain involved and encourage the young people coming behind them.

Espyre was created because preparing for adulthood should be about more than handing a young person a checklist and expecting them to figure out the rest. Young people deserve a place where they can learn, practice, ask questions, build confidence, and be reminded that their past does not determine how far they can go.

At Espyre, we want every young person to know that they have value, their future matters, and they are capable of building a life they can be proud of.

Grow. Lead. Thrive.

Build Confident Futures

No young person should have to face adulthood alone—wondering how they will manage, where to turn, or what comes next.

Your gift, time, or partnership gives foster youth a place to learn, practice, ask questions, and build confidence—with caring people beside them.

Together, we can stand with young people as they prepare for adulthood and build futures filled with purpose, possibility, and hope.

Build confidence today. Be part of what comes next.

Grow. Lead. Thrive.
